Austin is getting ready for SXSW Music to begin….

So I’m in Austin, very graciously being housed by stepsister and her husband, and getting ready for some SXSW action. This morning, I went with my stepbrother to walk his dog to a local coffee joint and began seeing traces of the festival taking shape. There are stages coming up in parking lots, flyers all over town for various shows, and many many guitar cases in people’s hands walking around. I also happened to turn on FOX News Austin this morning and catch a few different stories about how Austin is getting ready for the festival. Where I’m staying is about a mile and a half away from the epicenter of the music action but there are still many parties getting setup to be held in this area. Looks like its going to be a week of lots of free bbq, drinks and bands! If you know of anyone playing here that I should check out, please let me know. -Sheehan
