Wow, overnight Austin has transformed into Indie music mecca, and we are in the height of Haj (the pilgrimage taken in Islam… basically it’s crowded!). Hundreds of bands, hundreds of parties, hundreds of people anxious to see what’s new in music. Austin is getting ready for SXSW Music to...
So I’m in Austin, very graciously being housed by stepsister and her husband, and getting ready for some SXSW action. This morning, I went with my stepbrother to walk his dog to a local coffee joint and began seeing traces of the festival taking shape. There are stages coming up in parking lots, flyers all over town for various shows, and many many guitar cases in people’s hands...
